Carles Milián i Enrique Multidimensional Solitons & Combs
Department of Applied Maths, Polytechnique University of Valencia
Imagine there was a platform where fascinating phenomena such as soliton formation, cold plasmas, opto-mechanics or hydrodynamics could cooperate together to form exotic frequency combs that allowed us for seeing better through the prism of their related applications. This is exactly my research focus. My main research interests are located at the core Nonlinear Optics and, particularly, in the area of Multidimensional Dissipative Solitons and micro-Combs. Currently, I am working towards functional micron-scaled integrated devices that host multi-microcombs in a robust manner.

My dream: providing to the scientific community and to the society at large with miniature fully portable and versatile multi-comb sources. The secret: intertwining thoughtful theories, precise modelling, and state of the art experiments.
